On Thursday, April 11th, the highly anticipated pre-season testing day took place at Imola, offering the first taste of what to expect in the Carrera Cup Italia 2024.
Eight hours of testing saw BeDriver engaged on the track named after Enzo and Dino Ferrari, in a fruitful "first day of school" rich in positive signals for the upcoming season.
Our driver Alberto Cerqui concluded the session with the seventh fastest time (1:43.180). A stint where the improvement in terms of feeling was extremely consistent, allowing Alberto to look to the future with a smile.
These were his words at the end of the session:
"It was a truly interesting day: in the morning, we tried different setups with the new technical staff, while in the afternoon, despite a technical issue, we gradually found an excellent balance. I would say we are ready for Misano."
And speaking of smiles, let's not forget about our Gianluca Giorgi, who clocked the best performance in the Michelin Cup category with a time of 1:44.323. Giorgi showcased remarkable pace, finding a solid rhythm from the outset of the session, as he highlighted at the end of the day:
"It was indeed a great day. We managed to have the right setup from the start, as the standings show: first in the morning, first in the afternoon. I'm really satisfied with the team's work and how I drove. Now, onto Misano."

Lastly, we cannot overlook the comment from our Team Owner, Alessandro Poli, who expressed enthusiasm for the progress made:
"We are fully satisfied with today's results. Regarding the Michelin Cup category, we dominated, with Gianluca finishing first both in the morning and afternoon. The feedback received is excellent, also regarding Alberto, who despite a technical issue, had a productive day. This testing day gives us a great confidence boost for Misano."
Our drivers left Imola with growing confidence, which the whole team hopes to translate into an excellent result, as emphasized by all team members, starting from the next appointment at Misano (May 4-5).
