BeDriver's 2024 is about to get into full swing as Alessandro Poli's team is ready to take part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, the national Porsche one-make championship scheduled from May to October on the main Italian circuits, for the third consecutive year.
There are six appointments on the calendar for a total of twelve races, two for each stage. In addition to that, there will be the official test, scheduled for April 11th at Imola. The competition will officially begin at Misano for the first stage of the PCCI from May 3rd to 5th; at the end of the month, the paddock will visit the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola, site of the second round of the season from May 31st to June 2nd. Teams and drivers will then continue on to Mugello, where the third stage of the PCCI will be staged, scheduled for July 12nd-14th. After the summer break, the Championship will restart at Imola, site of the fourth round of the season, from September 6th to 8th; a month without a break, which will also see teams and drivers take to the track at the Autodromo Vallelunga, from September 20th to 22nh, for the fifth round of the PCCI. Finally, the grand finale will be at the Autodromo di Monza, from October 4th to 6th.
The schedule of events will follow a fixed pattern, the same one used last year. Friday will be dedicated to free practice, with qualifying scheduled on Saturday morning. The weekend will get into full swing starting on Saturday afternoon, with the start of Race 1; the following day, Sunday, Race 2 will be staged. Also confirmed is the format of the two races, both over the distance of 30 minutes + 1 lap.
ALESSANDRO POLI - TEAM PRINCIPAL BEDRIVER
"After breaking the ice in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe, we are now ready to get into the thick of the season. As we have said many times, we want to raise the bar even higher this year: we started working back in January to get ready for the PCCI, our main goal this season. We are pumped up and ready to go, looking forward to getting on track!"
