As the Barcelona stage is over, BeDriver can officially file its adventure in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe, the Porsche one-make championship staged during the European Winter Season.
An important experience that marked the European debut of Alessandro Poli's team, which took to the track in all four scheduled events alternating the presence of its drivers in the various stages, with Alberto Cerqui involved in the weekends of Portimão and Estoril and Gianluca Giorgi in Valencia and Barcelona. Although the final placings has not fully reflected the real potential of the car, the excellent third place achieved by Giorgi in the Valencia Race 1 (Pro-Am Class) should be highlighted ad an important result in this first part of 2024.
However, BeDriver can consider the final balance of its Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe experience as a positive one due to the excellent car development's work carried out ahead of the upcoming seasonal events, most of all the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, the main objective of the team led by Alessandro Poli. It must be underlined that also the Porsche Supercup 2022 winner Dylan Pereira has been part of the team as he took to the track in Valencia together with BeDriver during the test days, thus allowing the team to collect additional data and useful information.
Alessandro Poli, BeDriver Team Principal: «The experience in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe was undoubtedly significant for us, as it allowed us to start working on the car well in advance in view of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia. Overall, we go home satisfied with the work done and with some regret for the lack of results on the track, the result of several unfortunate episodes that were not true to the real potential of the car. Now we will analyze all the material collected to prepare ourselves in the best way for the next season appointments, in which we will give our best as always».
